The President recalled concerns that the transfer of F-16s to Ukraine would draw NATO into the war.
Ukrainian F-16 fighter jets destroyed seven more Russian cruise missiles in one of the latest attacks, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky told SkyNews.
“How are the F-16s working in Ukraine today? Excellent, extraordinary. We have few F-16s, but they have already done a lot – they destroyed seven cruise missiles literally two nights ago. Missiles aimed at our infrastructure,” he said.
According to him, there were concerns that the transfer of F-16s to Ukraine would drag NATO into the war:
“It was the same with HIMARS, then with the F-16 – the decision was made, but too late.”
