The F-16 fighter jets, provided by Ukraine’s Western partners, have been used to repel the largest Russian combined aerial attack on Ukraine on 26 August, and destroy the Russians missiles and drones.

Quote: “The F-16s [showed] a very good result. We repelled some missiles and drones using F-16s during this huge attack. And we are grateful to our partners for supplying us with the F-16s. Of course, this is not enough, we only have a few of them, and we have to additionally train the pilots.”
Background: On 26 August Russia launched 236 aerial weapons on Ukraine. Ukraine’s air defence downed 102 missiles and 99 attack drones.

We not only have masses of armored vehicles sitting around being bored and feeling useless, but lots of aircraft, too. Just sayin’…
