In the past two months, many enemy oil refining facilities have been successfully hit. The head of the Security Service of Ukraine Vasily Malyuk said this during the forum “Ukraine. Year 2024”.

“Over the last two months, many of the enemy’s oil refining capacities were successfully hit. In fact, we reduced the export of petroleum products by one third, and 55% of their military budget is foreign exchange earnings from the export of petroleum products,” he emphasized.

According to him, the SBU today operates in the air, at sea, on the front line, behind enemy lines in temporarily occupied territories, and behind enemy lines in the Russian Federation.

He added that there was a critical task for working at sea. There have been some interesting new developments, namely two surface drones. One of them is Sea Baby, which is used not only in kamikaze mode, but also for remote mining and other activities. With the help of this drone, 11 enemy ships were hit, some of which were actually damaged beyond repair, and some were being repaired at Russian docks and would not be able to go to sea in one or two years.

He recalled that thanks to these drones the Crimean Bridge was successfully hit.

“The Crimean Bridge has not been fully restored by the enemy and now it is not used for logistics, that is, for moving weapons, weapons, their ammunition. They pull all this through ferry crossings,” noted Malyuk. 

He said that the bridge was first hit on October 8, 2022. He said that they had come in from land, and that he was personally involved in this operation with two reliable employees.

He also noted that Ukraine also uses the Mamai-type sea-based surface attack aircraft.
