An explosion occurred on the railway tracks in the Voronezh Oblast of Russia, with the blast at the 725-kilometer mark of the Yevdakovo-Saguna section, the Baza Telegram channel reported on June 5.
An explosion in Russia’s Voronezh Oblast damaged a railway track, causing delays for 19 trains. According to reports, several trains were stopped in the southern part of Oblast due to the damage.
Voronezh Governor Alexander Gusev later stated that the driver of one of the affected trains noticed “minor damage to the track” but confirmed that there were no injuries.
Gusev added that emergency services are investigating the cause of the explosion.
On May 25, in the Novooskolsky district of Russia’s Belgorod Oblast, a train ran over an explosive device. Belgorod Governor Vyacheslav Gladkov claimed that the device was planted under the rails but said that no one was injured. Train traffic in the area was temporarily halted.
