Important losses of the enemy on July 14, 2024 – what you should know today

It will be recalled that at the end of February, the Armed Forces of Ukraine hit the Russian Pantsir-S1 missile complex in the Belgorod Region (RF). According to the Main Directorate of Intelligence of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine, the attack took place near the settlement of Holovchyno, Graivoronsk district. The complex was disabled, its crew suffered sanitary losses – two Russian invaders were wounded.

It was rumored that the S-1 Armor, worth about 15 million dollars, was intended to cover military and military-industrial facilities.

Help UNIAN. According to open sources, Pantsir-S1 is a Russian ground-based self-propelled anti-aircraft missile-gun complex. It was developed by the Tula State Enterprise “Design Bureau of Instrumentation”. It is intended for close-range cover of civilian and military objects (including long-range air defense systems) from all modern and promising means of air attack. It can also protect the facility from ground and surface threats.

On November 16, 2012, by order of the Prime Minister of the Russian Federation, Dmitry Medvedev, “Pantsir-S1” was adopted by the Russian army.

The peculiarity of the “Pantsir-S1” complex is the combination of a multi-channel target capture and tracking system with missile and artillery weapons, which creates a continuous target interception zone at a minimum height of zero meters and at a range (minimum) of 200 meters. Reach in height – 15 km, in distance – 20 km.

Up to 6 Pantsir-S1 machines can work together through a digital communication network in different modes. The installation can detect and intercept targets without the involvement of other means, as part of the battery, one Pantsir-S1 works as a combat vehicle and at the same time as a command post. From 3 to 5 “Armors” can be connected to it and receive targeting instructions for further execution of the task.

It can work in automatic mode both in a separate combat unit and as part of a unit of several combat vehicles. The fire control system of the Pantsir-S1 complex includes a detection radar and two tracking radars (this radar accompanies both targets and surface-to-air missiles launched by the complex).

In addition to the radar, the fire control system also includes an optical-electronic complex with a long-wave thermal receiver (infrared direction finder), as well as digital signal processing and automatic target tracking.

Two independent guidance devices – a radar and an optical-electronic system – allow capturing four targets simultaneously. The maximum capture rate is 10 targets per minute.

  1. This seems like an awesome piece of equipment. Wonder if we have anything like it or more importantly an we destroy all of these Pantsir S1 systems.
