The following video is in an undisclosed place in Donbas. It shows a handful of Russian soldiers retreating from Ukrainian troops. They are intercepted by other Russian soldiers, so-called blocking troops, whose job it is to stop or kill on the spot anyone who is retreating.

This is not a scene from 78 years ago, during WWII, under Stalin, this is today, in the 21st century, under Putin. This is what human life in mafia land is worth … even their own lives … less than nothing.
I was about to comment about that very thing! I didn’t know about this until I learned about it in Daily Wire’s Cold War documentary series. I remember they also said that russian tank drivers’ radios were all one-way, for receiving orders only. Maybe the division commanders had two-way radios for reporting on battle conditions, but it was expected of russian military, that they should follow orders ONLY. Even if a soldier understood an order couldn’t work, or a situation required improvisation, only the instructions as written in the orders were allowed.
Which meant of course, that soviets NEVER learned from their mistakes, and explains why putin is repeating WWII tactics. The ONLY reasons why stalin crushed the nazis eastward invasion into russia, was the harsh russian winter, and russia had vastly larger numbers of troops. The russian casualties though, were also vastly higher, comparatively.

Certainly. But, I think that this video shows only a tiny fraction of what’s going on along the very long frontline. It’s anyone’s guess what the self-inflicted casualty-rate is for the orcs.

Seems Maidan happened in the wrong place…
I think Maidan has definitely helped Ukraine, so although I’m an American, I feel it was in the right place. Yanukovych seemed like a disaster for the Ukrainian citizens, and he clearly was a toadying stooge for putin. But there could be another revolution for the russian people. They clearly need one to force their government into correcting itself or for a new Russian government to step in.
It will never happen. The ruskie is too much a fool and loves being a slave.
Just surrender to Ukraine, you can at least survive as a PoW and get treated better than your so called fellow Russians, who just gun you down for wanting to live.
