According to the mayor, as a result of the impact, emergency call services are not working in Kharkov.

Russian troops dealt a massive blow to the energy infrastructure of Kharkov , city mayor Igor Terekhov said on air at the telethon.

“Now in Kharkov there is no electricity supply, everything is de-energized. We are starting to supply water, we have such an opportunity. We switched to generators, we are launching heating networks. 40 thousand subscribers will be connected to the heating supply,” Terekhov said.

The mayor of Kharkov also noted that the city has now launched additional buses to avoid a transport collapse.

“These are the metro, trolleybuses, trams. But we are replacing this with bus routes. In addition, lines 101 and 112 are not working now, instead the city line 1652 is working. People can go there and we will transfer all emergency calls to the appropriate services,” – Terekhov said.

When asked if it was known whether there were casualties as a result of the attack, the mayor of Kharkov replied: “We don’t have such information yet, because State Emergency Service employees work at these substations. When the fires are extinguished, we will look into this matter.”

Other consequences of the Russian strike on Ukraine

Russian occupiers launched a massive missile and drone attack on Ukraine’s energy system . There are hits in Krivoy Rog, Kharkov, Zaporozhye, Kropyvnytskyi and Khmelnitsky.

One of the targets of Russian attacks was the Dnieper hydroelectric station . Ukrenergo confirmed the attack on the hydroelectric power station, saying that the Russian Federation was trying to completely disable this facility.

Because of this strike, the Zaporozhye Nuclear Power Plant was under threat . There, the external overhead line connecting the temporarily occupied Zaporizhia NPP with the unified energy system of Ukraine was switched off.
