Ted Cruz: Tucker Is Rehabilitating Hitler, Putin, and Hamas

Verdict with Ted Cruz

Sir Jacob Rees-Mogg joins Verdict with Ted Cruz and Ben Ferguson to respond to his viral interview with Tucker Carlson, including the moment Tucker asked whether Britain would have been better off if the Nazis had won World War II and replied “Who cares?” about speaking German. Cruz and Rees-Mogg discuss moral clarity on evil, peace through strength, the U.S.-U.K. special relationship, Taiwan’s semiconductors, Russia’s economy, and why the Allies’ victory mattered.

Rees-Mogg explains why he agreed to sit down with Carlson and why he believes being prepared for war is how you avoid one. Cruz argues that peace through strength, not isolationism, is how the West keeps tyrants away. He calls Tucker Carlson “the most dangerous demagogue in America” and points to Carlson’s comments on Hamas and the October 7 attack on Israel as another example of moral equivalence.

The conversation then turns to the Chinese Communist Party’s persecution of the Uyghurs and Falun Gong, and how Ronald Reagan, Margaret Thatcher and Pope John Paul II won the Cold War. Rees-Mogg and Cruz discuss the US-UK special relationship, why defending Taiwan matters, and why Cruz believes Taiwan’s advanced semiconductors make it a vital national security interest for America and Britain.

The episode ends with mass migration, multiculturalism and the shared roots of British and American freedom, from the Magna Carta to the Declaration of Independence, and with Rees-Mogg’s answer to why it was good that the Allies won World War II.

Russian imperialism needs to be crushed in Ukraine before it defeats us across Europe.

    Good news.

Ukraine has refused to fall for the Trump oligarch trick. The plan was to prop up Putin’s economy by stopping Ukraine’s strikes on Russian refineries.

    Stop Patriot missile deliveries.

    Play games with Starlink.

    Help Putin rebuild.

Then look away as he destroys Ukraine from the sky.

    A cynical strategy.

Ukraine has refused to take the bait.

“Ukraine hits the third major Russian refinery in three days, disabling several major parts of the installation in every attack. Novokuybyshevsk Friday, Ufa Saturday and, Kstovo Sunday morning”.

Trump has done everything Putin has wanted him to do.

In Helsinki he stood with Putin and disclaimed U.S. intelligence. He lobbied to bring Russia back into the G-7.

He withheld military aid to Zelensky and pulled out of Syria to give Russia a freer hand.

He questioned NATO, lifted sanctions on Deripaska-linked companies, and walked away from the INF Nuclear Treaty.

He walked away from Open Skies, leaving European allies blind to what Russia was actually doing.

He slowed down Starlink for Ukraine and struck a diesel fuel deal with Russia even though he could’ve gotten a better deal with Canada.

How can you not see the link??

🚨Over the weekend, Republican Steve Schmidt, who ran former Sen. John McCain’s (R-AZ) 2008 campaign for president, was interviewed on MSNOW.

In response to a general question regarding Trump, Mr. Schmidt spoke for two straight minutes, giving the most brutally honest response of what Trump has done to the United States.

“Donald Trump has been the worst president this country has ever had. And, I don’t say that hyperbolically. He is. But he is a consequential president. And, he has brought this country in three short years to a place of weakness that is simply unimaginable if you were pondering where we are today from the day where Barack Obama left office. And, there were a lot of us on that day who were deeply skeptical and very worried about what a Trump presidency would be. But this is a moment of unparalleled national humiliation, of weakness.

When you listen to the President, these are the musings of an imbecile. An idiot. And I don’t use those words to name call. I use them because they are the precise words of the English language to describe his behavior. His comportment. His actions. We’ve never seen a level of incompetence, a level of ineptitude so staggering on a daily basis by anybody in the history of the country who’s ever been charged with substantial responsibilities.

It’s just astonishing that this man is president of the United States. The man, the con man, from New York City. Many bankruptcies, failed businesses, a reality show, that branded him as something that he never was. A successful businessman. Well, he’s the President of the United States now, and the man who said he would make the country great again. And he’s brought death, suffering, and economic collapse on truly an epic scale.

And, let’s be clear. This isn’t happening in every country around the world. This place. Our place. Our home. Our country. The United States. We are the epicenter. We are the place where you’re the most likely to die from this disease. We’re the ones with the most shattered economy. And we are, because of the fool that sits in the Oval Office behind the Resolute Desk.”

We couldn’t have said it better ourselves.
