EVEN MORE RUSSIAN BULLS**T…

…if that’s possible!

Before anyone regurgitates enemy propaganda or gets too scared about the little man in Moscow’s new and ‘invincible’ (but suspiciously chubby, for ‘supersonic’ flight) Burevestnik nuclear-powered cruise missile they might want to do a little research.

They will find that the propulsion unit is, essentially, redundant western technology from the 1950’s! (I already knew this, because I’m a defence and security nerd, here.)

The US (with the usual foreign support and ideas for all things nuclear, back then, at least) developed nuclear propulsion in the 1950’s for long range B-36 Peacemaker bombers, but after ten years of R&D decided not to use it. For several good reasons.

At least some of the data published recently make no sense.

The data states that the Burevestnik is subsonic & lists a supersonic maximum airspeed. The speed of sound is around 1,235 km/h (it is slightly temperature dependent). Subsonic & supersonic wings have different designs & subsonic wings are normally designed for airspeeds significantly lower than the speed of sound in order to avoid achieving Mach = 1.0 (Mach waves) locally in the airflow around the wings & elsewhere around the flying body.

The shape of the nose shown on illustrations published is subsonic too.

1,300 km/h is incorrect, I wonder what else is incorrect.

…………..

BRITISH STORM SHADOWS vs. RUSSIAN MUNITIONS FACTORY…

Tiny Britain’s Storm Shadow are smaller and less powerful than mighty America’s ground and sea launched Tomahawk land attack and air-launched cruise missiles, but different in other ways…

  1. They are penetrating the enemy’s domestic air defence network, of course,
  2. They are destroying munitions factories in his own back yard.

…VERY different to American (and German) cruise missiles, which SHOULD be very embarrassing for a lot of people!

Last week’s combined attack targets included the Bryansk Chemical Plant in Russia’s Bryansk Oblast, which produces ‘gunpowder’, explosives and rocket fuel components for ammunition and missiles that are fired at Ukrainian towns and cities.

(Photo below: a stock image of 2x Shadows on an old Su-24 ‘FENCER’, but they hang very nicely on F-16’s too!)

But neither the Storm Shadows nor the Tomahawk cruise missiles (not yet provided to Ukraine by the US) are as capable as the new cruise missile developed by Ukraine — with a 2,000 pound warhead (taken from old, leftover Soviet bombs) and a 3,000-km range. Once Ukraine ramps up production, this missile is going to prove very destructive against Russian infrastructure.

Stormshadows are much better for Ukraine for the simple reason that we get to use them.

Stormshadow that are fired from Ukraine’s 🇺🇦 skys are a lot more powerful and useful than tomahawks that are sitting in warehouses in the US🤷🏼♂️ the US are not going to help so we just need to support and supply Ukraine with all we have in Europe 🙏🏻

Stormshadow is very capable and effective. And they can be carried by Gripen E and Rafale too. This is the future of European NATO missile systems, like Taurus, Iris, SAMP/T and other smart European products as Flamingo (!)
