During the operation to eliminate the captain of the 1st rank, chief of staff of the 41st brigade of missile ships and boats of the Black Sea Fleet of the Russian Federation Valery Trankovsky, the Ukrainian special service showed itself to be no worse than Mossad – the Israeli foreign intelligence agency, which is considered one of the best in the world. Ivan Stupak, a military expert and ex-employee of the SBU, expressed this opinion on the air of the telethon.

According to him, such an operation is very stressful, carefully prepared, it was necessary to find and train the relevant specialists, study the schedule of “targets”, etc.

“If we name a term of 5-6 months, we will not make a big mistake. This term is only preparation, who will be there and where, what participation, who will carry out (the liquidation – UNIAN), the selection of a suitable person, people who will assist, help to leave this place, so as not to be captured by the Russian law enforcement officers… Plus, we include the time on the spot.That is, it was necessary to observe this person, determine his schedule, where he goes – to his mistress, in shop, fish, drink…”, explained Stupak.

He added that it was also necessary to calculate and determine a convenient place when an explosive device could be planted. A separate nuance is the explosive: it had to be brought with you or a radio-technical device made on the spot, with the help of which the car was blown up. As the expert explained, you cannot buy explosives “in a Sevastopol supermarket”, that is, everything related to an explosive device is a very complicated operation.

“Plus the last thing is evacuation… A person was killed and it is necessary to evacuate quickly, because the Russians immediately activate interception plans… They stop the movement of trains, planes, land and water transport, begin to check documents more carefully. That is, without exaggeration, this (in Sevastopol – UNIAN) is a very accurate and serious operation of the Security Service of Ukraine. And it should be noted that sanctions from the SBU work much more effectively than sanctions from the EU,” Stupak emphasized.

At the same time, the specialist added that he would not underestimate the enemy, but the Ukrainian specialists managed to find a “loophole” when the chief of staff’s car would not be inspected, the attention of the occupiers would be distracted, etc.

Stupak also emphasized that the SBU has to develop new special operations, different from each other – not to return to previous techniques. For example, the fugitive, ex-people’s deputy Ilya Kiva was shot, the Crimean bridge was first blown up on the surface, then attacked with drones, and Trankovsky was blown up. The expert explained that the human psyche is aimed at the fact that it is necessary to prepare for what happened before, and it is, as a rule, not ready for the new.

At the same time, he believes that the SBU in some cases works even better than the Israeli foreign intelligence service “Mossad”, which is considered one of the most effective and professional special services in the world.

“There is always something new, creative, and this is undoubtedly an achievement of our special services. I constantly tell them: “Guys, don’t compare yourselves to the Mossad.” Because in certain moments you became a head taller than “Mossad”. Let them be like you,” Stupak added.

He also commented on the case when Tu-22M3 bomber pilot Dmytro Golenkov, who was involved in the attack on a high-rise building in Dnipro in January 2023 and the Amstor shopping center in Kremenchuk, was killed with a hammer in the Bryansk region of the Russian Federation in October. Specialists of the Main Intelligence Directorate of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine are probably involved in this liquidation. According to Stupak, this operation can also be called brilliant, because its preparation, cynicism and audacity also have a psychological aspect.

“I am more than convinced that it worked psychologically on the Russians… The person who did it did not spare precious seconds, minutes – she could have been caught on the spot, but she was able to escape. So, in the mind of the Russians, it looks like this: “It’s okay, and what will happen next? Something will be cut off…” Russians have more imagination than we can imagine,” explained Stupak.

As the expert added, of course, because of such a special operation, the other occupiers will not stop carrying out the orders of their leadership, but psychologically, it affected them very seriously. In particular, because they were made to understand: even when the war ends, revenge for the murders of Ukrainian civilians will continue.

“That is, they (the occupiers – UNIAN) will be able to find them in a year, two, three…” Stupak emphasized.

According to him, there are many specialists of different services in Ukraine who can “work perfectly” in this direction in parallel, without interfering with each other.

Liquidation of a top official of the Black Sea Fleet of the Russian Federation in Sevastopol

On November 13, a car exploded in the temporarily occupied Sevastopol , in which was the captain of the 1st rank, chief of staff of the 41st brigade of missile ships and boats of the Black Sea Fleet of the Russian Federation Valery Trankovsky. The detonation took place with the help of an improvised explosive device. As a result of the explosion, the Russian man’s legs were torn off, he died from blood loss.

According to the SBU, Trankovsky is a war criminal who gave orders to launch cruise missiles from the Black Sea at civilian objects in Ukraine. In particular, he shelled Vinnytsia with Calibers in July 2022. Then 29 people died.
