Lukashenko is accused of involvement in mass tortures and repressions
The MEPs are preparing to increase pressure for an international trial of President of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko, who is accused of involvement in mass torture and repression as DW reported.
“Members of the European Parliament meeting in Strasbourg are poised to demand international prosecution against the disputed president of Belarus for repression,” the message says.
On Tuesday, Lithuanian MEP Andrius Kubilius told Lukashenko must be taken to the International Court of Justice. His position was supported by German MEP Sergey Lagodinsky, who said that “a torture case should be initiated against Lukashenko himself.”
Thus, MEPs say that Lukashenko personally ordered the illegal arrest and torture of opposition demonstrators who protested against the results of the presidential elections in August 2020. At least 700 of those arrested remain in prison.
“That suggests the demand is likely to make it into a European Parliament resolution to be voted through the full house this Thursday,” DW noted.
Earlier, Belarus President Alexander Lukashenko decided in favor of bringing a bill on suspending the agreement between the Republic of Belarus and the European Union on the readmission of individuals, who stay without permission, into the House of Representatives of the National Assembly.
As we reported, President of U.S. Joe Biden has signed the law on introduction of new sanctions against Belarus. The White House noted that the U.S. Department of the Treasury issues its largest round of sanctions to date against Belarusian individuals and entities. Besides, Canada introduced extra sanctions against Belarus.

“That suggests the demand is likely to make it into a European Parliament resolution to be voted through the full house this Thursday,” DW noted.
A pointless gesture from a pointless organisation, as this paragraph from Wiki shows.
“Article 94 establishes the duty of all UN members to comply with decisions of the court involving them. If parties do not comply, the issue may be taken before the Security Council for enforcement action. There are obvious problems with such a method of enforcement. If the judgment is against one of the permanent five members of the Security Council or its allies, any resolution on enforcement would then be vetoed.”
This is why I’ve advocated for an exception from the UNSC if there is a conflict of interest. But if that happened Israel may have ceased to exist without a US veto.
“As we reported, wannabe President of U.S. the old sack Joe Biden has signed the law on introduction of new sanctions against Belarus.”
Useless, worthless, fruitless, meaningless…
Without slamming loony’s new old butt buddy, the shrew in the Kremlin, nothing the West does against him will have any concrete effect.
Looks like Putin got his buddies in Denmark to do some more dirty work for him.

Disastrous idea.
Denmark is a pro-putler country and showing its true colours here.
It showed it’s true colours when it allowed Nord stream to pass through it’s waters.
Back in June it was on a nauseating list of countries that were pushing for a ‘summit’ with putler. France, Germany, Italy of course were also amongst the usual suspects.
Mafia land invests greatly to buy useful idiots.
