The politician is confident that the United States will not leave Ukraine.

German Chancellor Olaf Scholf rules out the possibility of a unilateral US-Russian agreement to end the war in Ukraine .

On air on NTV, the politician said that Europe would not allow such a scenario, since it has the right to vote on the issue of the continent’s security. There can be no guarantees of security without the Europeans or “over the head” of Ukraine, he added:

“We will not allow this as Europeans. We will also not allow anyone to agree that Ukraine should be demilitarized.”

Negotiations to end the war

Let us recall that recently the administration of the new President of the United States of America Donald Trump announced its intention to hold peace talks to end the war in Ukraine with the participation of the United States, Ukraine and Russia.

US Special Envoy Keith Kellogg said Europe would not participate in the talks, although its interests would be taken into account.

European leaders are outraged and worried by this prospect , as they believe it would be a geopolitical defeat and a threat to their security.
