The European Union will double military aid to Ukraine to a billion euros.
This is stated in a statement published on the EU website .
It is noted that today’s decision is to increase the initial budget, announced on February 28, by an additional 500 million euros, thus doubling it to 1 billion euros.
“We will continue to support Ukraine in the fight against Russian aggression and the untold suffering that it causes to the Ukrainian population. An additional 500 million euros … is another sign of EU support for the Ukrainian armed forces to protect their territory and population,” the Vice President said. President of the European Commission, High Representative of the EU for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy Josep Borrell.
These funds will be used to purchase various equipment and materials, in particular, personal protective equipment, first aid kits and fuel, as well as military equipment and platforms designed to deliver lethal weapons for defense purposes.
At the same time, the duration of this assistance package has been extended to 12 months.
The statement also notes that Russia’s unprovoked and unjustified military aggression against Ukraine grossly violates international law and the principles of the UN Charter and undermines European and global security and stability.
It is emphasized that Russia and its ally Belarus bear full responsibility for this war of conquest, and those responsible will be held accountable for their crimes, including indiscriminate attacks on the civilian population and civilian objects.”
The European Union demands that Russia stop its military operations and immediately withdraw all forces and military equipment from the territory of Ukraine, fully respect the territorial integrity, sovereignty and independence of Ukraine within its internationally recognized borders.
As UNIAN reported earlier, the European Union approved an agreement with Ukraine , which will allow sharing secret information, such as satellite images, with official Kiev.

Oh wow EU is telling Russia to stop the war and leave. Now I know Putin is going to do that now he’s been told by the EU.

In earlier days, the mafiosi would be rolling with laughter after hearing such garbage. Now, they are not. But, it’s not because of the verbal garbage that lets their throats too choked to laugh, it’s the losses they’ve suffered. In other words, strength is what they take note of, not empty words.
The EU sees that it’s either them doing the fighting or helping Ukraine to fight. They should provide missiles, too, that would allow Ukraine to reach Moscow.
