EU officials publish sanctions lists from 18th package of countering russian aggression

The European Union has published a list of individuals and legal entities that have been included in the 18th package of sanctions against the russian federation. It includes 22 russian and two Chinese banks, four companies associated with a russian private investment fund, 26 new entities associated with the russian military-industrial complex, and eight companies of the Belarusian military-industrial complex.

The sanctions list was published on Saturday, July 19, in the Official Journal of the EU.

Thus, 22 russian banks were sanctioned: T-Bank, Bank Saint Petersburg, Bank Centrocredit, Yandex Bank, Surgutneftegazbank, Metkombank, Severgazbank, Genbank, Bystrobank, Energotransbank, Tatsotsbank, Bank Zenit, Transstroybank, Bank Finam, Ozon Bank, Expobank, Lokko Bank, Bank Dom.RF, MSP Bank, Lanta Bank, Bank 131 and Bank RostFinance.

For the first time, two Chinese banks were sanctioned by the EU for providing cryptocurrency services: Heihe Rural Commercial Bank and Heilongjiang Suifenhe Rural Commercial Bank.

Also, eight companies of the Belarusian military-industrial complex were included in the sanctions list: Belvneshpromservice, OKB TSP, KB Bezpilotnye Heloty, Legmash plant, scientific and technical center LEMT BelOMO, LLC Laser Devices and Technologies, Wistan, Rukhservomotor.

The sanctions list includes 14 people and 41 organizations responsible for actions that undermine or threaten the territorial integrity, sovereignty and independence of Ukraine. Thus, the total number of individuals and legal entities included in the sanctions list exceeded 2,500.

According to the EU High Representative for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy Kaja Kallas, this package is “one of the toughest to date”.

“Every sanction weakens russia’s ability to wage war. The message is clear: Europe will not back down in its support for Ukraine. The EU will continue to increase pressure until russia stops the war,” she stressed.

As Ukrainian News Agency earlier reported, the EU Permanent Representatives Committee (Corеper) approved the 18th package of EU sanctions against russia on the morning of July 18.

        • Europe is throwing more sanctions at Russia than Trump has. In fact, Trump has not done anything but helped Russia since he was elected.

              • Uhm… Is this discussion still about Ukraine or jealous eurotrash not wanting the US to be involved? Ukraine is American now and we will defend her. The euros don’t even get their own crap together. They were free to send planes, Taurus etc… But only imperials + Holland delivered.

                • Bs. Trump hates Ukraine and always will. He just give putler another 2 months to slaughter civilians in Kyiv, Odesa, Lviv a host of other cities. If that is help, Ukraine don’t need it.
