EU insists on full implementation of Minsk agreements – response to Medvedchuk’s peace initiatives

Warning! This article contains BS from the Kremlin propaganda representatives in Ukraine

It is a response to Viktor Medvedchuk’s peace initiatives from the European Council

The European Union sees no other way to peace in Ukraine, except for the full implementation of the whole range of measures provided for by the Minsk Agreements. This is stated in the official response of the European Council (the highest coordinating body of the EU) to the inquiry of the Member of the European Parliament Maximilian Krah, which he submitted in connection with the peace initiatives of the Chairman of the Political Council of the Opposition Platform – For Life Party and MP Viktor Medvedchuk.

“The European Union continues to affirm that it will continue to support the independence, sovereignty and territorial integrity of Ukraine within its internationally recognized borders. It has repeatedly made clear that the full implementation of the Minsk agreements is the only way to find a lasting and a peaceful solution to the conflict in eastern Ukraine,” the document says.

The European MP requested to state the position of the European Council regarding the obvious stall in Donbas settlement process, and Medvedchuk’s initiative to create a Parliamentary Dimension of the Norman format.

The Deputy Prime Minister and the first deputy head of the Ukrainian delegation to the Trilateral Contact Group, Aleksey Reznikov, took another step towards disrupting the peace process in Donbas. In his blog he openly stated the course of Ukrainian authorities on the rejection of Minsk agreements. In turn, the “Opposition Platform – For Life” requires President Zelensky to abandon the course of escalating the conflict.
“We urge Volodymyr Zelensky to recall his election promises, to bring the country to peace. Return to the implementation of the Minsk agreements and ensure the implementation of agreements reached at the meeting of Normandy Four in Paris.
The president must pay attention to the provocative and harmful actions of his subordinates. It’s time to remember that it is you who are responsible for restoring peace to the Ukrainian people, ”the party said.

  1. Unless I’m not reading this correctly, the EU mentions nothing about Medvedchuks Russian proposal. It just trots out the same statement it’s been publishing for 6 years. This Maximilian Krah is a German (surprise, surprise) politician representing the AfD in the European Parliament.

    • I wonder if Medvedfuck has even read Minsk. I wish someone from the media would ask him what are the first 3 steps in Minsk? Or does he read it backwards like the Moscow Misfits do?

      • The Russian version starts at the last step, and works it’s way to ceasefire, the first step.
