EU condemns Zelensky remarks about Orban, urges restraint as crisis escalates

The European Commission condemned the remarks by the President of Ukraine regarding the Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orban, calling them unacceptable. This position was voiced by the European Commission’s deputy spokesperson Olof Gill, directly explaining the situation.

In particular, regarding President Zelensky’s comments: we, as the European Commission, clearly state that such formulations are unacceptable. There should be no threats against EU member states

– Deputy Spokesperson for the European Commission Olof Gill

Gill noted that the European Commission’s goal is to calm the situation and dial down the rhetoric. Brussels is actively engaging with all parties to resolve the crisis.

We hope that one person in the EU will not block 90 billion euros or the first tranche and that Ukrainian soldiers will have weapons. Otherwise we will give the address of this person to our Armed Forces. Let them call him and communicate with him in his own language

– President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky

This caused a major scandal in Hungary, with even the opposition reacting. The leader of the Hungarian opposition party “Tisa” Peter Magyar urged Zelensky to apologise for his words, which he described as “threats” to Orban.

On the same day, the Prime Minister of Hungary stated that Budapest would force Kyiv to continue the transit of damaged oil through the Druzhba pipeline – and do it “by force.”

That evening it became known that seven employees of Oschadbank were detained on suspicion of money laundering. Among those detained, reportedly, is a retired general of Ukraine’s security services.

  1. The terrorist kidnaps out people and we’re supposed to be nice. I’ll join the chorus Fuck the EU

  2. There is a genocidal nazi power operating in Europe. At the moment it has three satellites : Belarus, Slovakia and of course Hungary.
It has hopes of expanding its power base massively: by getting National Rally, AfD and Reform elected.
Europe’s most powerful countries would then be under putinaZi control.
One vast but more anarchic power that is capable of stopping that instead has consolidated its relationships with those scum parties and made it clear that it wants toad nazi Orban to remain in power in his shithole.
While it waits for favourable electoral outcomes in Europe, it starts a huge new war in the ME.
The likely spike in oil and gas revenues will hugely benefit the war chest of the putinaZis.
If the EU wants to recover some credibility, it must instantly expel Orbanistan and Ficostan.
