As a result of an enemy attack in the Chernihiv region , two power engineers from JSC ” Chernihivoblenergo ” were killed.

This is reported by Censor.NET with reference to the press center of the Ministry of Energy.

As noted, on the evening of October 10, a brigade of energy workers was returning from restoration work in the Chernihiv region. At that time, the enemy attacked them with attack drones, probably of the “Lancet” type. After the first explosion, when the energy workers rushed to help their seriously wounded colleague, the Russian troops launched a second, targeted strike. This tactic is a deliberate war crime aimed at killing civilian specialists – energy workers.

As a result of the attack, the crane driver Anatoliy Savchenko, born in 1976, died on the spot. His colleague, the driver Ruslan Deynega, born in 1978, died of his injuries in hospital. Doctors fought to the last, but the injuries were incompatible with life.

Their colleagues were injured. They are currently hospitalized and are receiving all necessary assistance.

The enemy also fired on the local fire brigade that arrived at the scene of the tragedy.

“This is a terrible tragedy for the entire large family of Ukrainian energy workers. This is terror in its purest form. I express my deepest condolences to the families, loved ones, and colleagues of the deceased. We will never forgive or forget,” said Energy Minister Svitlana Grinchuk.
