Units of the Ukrainian Defense Forces attacked a number of facilities that the Russians used to support their occupation forces. In particular, drilling rigs in the Caspian Sea, air defense systems, and a logistics warehouse were hit.
Details of the operation were shared on the Telegram channel of the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine on January 11. Three drilling rigs of the Lukoil corporation in the Caspian Sea came under attack by the Defense Forces. These are the facilities named after Volodymyr Filanovsky, Yuriy Korchagin, and Valery Graifer. The scale of the damage caused is being clarified.
“The Ukrainian Defense Forces continue to systematically weaken the military-economic capabilities and offensive potential of the Russian occupation forces. Objects directly involved in waging armed aggression against Ukraine are being hit,” the General Staff said in a statement.
In addition, in the temporarily occupied Luhansk region, near the settlement of Baranycheve, the Defense Forces targeted a launcher of the Buk-M3 anti-aircraft missile system . According to preliminary data, hits and explosions were recorded.
Ukrainian “cotton” also visited the warehouse of the material and technical unit of the 49th Army of the occupation forces in the Novotroitskyi area, in the temporarily occupied Kherson region.
As OBOZ.UA reported, the Ukrainian Defense Forces continue to strike targets in Russia and the occupied territories. On the night of January 10, the target of the attack was the Zhutovsk oil depot in the Volgograd region.
