The US President ordered Musk to conduct an audit of his expenses.

US President Donald Trump said he has commissioned billionaire Elon Musk to audit Pentagon spending, CNN reports .

“The Pentagon, education, virtually everything. We’re going to go through it just like it was very bad with what we just went through (referring to the elimination of USAID, – ed.), this terrible situation that we just went through. It was very, very disappointing. You won’t find anything like that, but you will find a lot. And I’ve instructed him to look at education, to look at the Pentagon, which is a military department. And, you know, unfortunately, you’ll find some things that are pretty bad. But I don’t think you’ll see anything like what we just saw,” the American president said.

When asked further by journalists whether Trump had warned Musk against “things he cannot touch,” the head of Bely replied that “we did not discuss that.”

But he did emphasize that he dictates what areas he wants Musk to work in. Trump says he picks a “target” and tells Musk and his staff to “go after it.”

“There may be areas where we won’t work, but I think it’s very promising. I’ve put him in charge of education, the military, other areas, and they’re finding huge amounts of fraud, abuse, waste, all of these things,” Donald Trump added.
