According to the German Foreign Minister, they threaten European security.

German Foreign Minister Annalena Berbock is convinced that economic projects such as the Nord Stream gas pipeline , which previously supplied Russian gas to Europe, will no longer exist.

As Berbock emphasized, German society finds it very difficult to accept the wrong decision to launch the Nord Stream gas pipelines in the past.

In particular, we had to “pay dearly” for this decision, because this gas pipeline was not an economic project, but a preparation for further aggression.

“We were again dependent on Russian gas and oil, because, in fact, Putin turned this gas pipeline against Germany, against Europe… We paid billions of euros for this, and therefore, now it is absolutely clear that this pipeline cannot be restored. This decision is in the hands of Germany. The previous government made this decision absolutely in unison,” said Berbock.

She noted that in Germany there is a consensus among democratic parties on this. The diplomat emphasized:

“We know from various sources that there are various speculations on this issue, but central politicians in Germany are leaning towards an absolutely clear decision that the economy and the security of Europe are linked. Of course, this war is very burdensome to us economically. And of course, such economic projects will no longer exist because they are dangerous for our security.”
