This was the most massive UAV attack on the Saratov region in more than three years of full-scale war, local officials report.
On the night of Thursday, March 20, drones carried out a massive attack on the Russian cities of Saratov and Engels . The latter is home to a military airfield of the occupiers.

The attack was first reported by local publics, and later confirmed by Saratov Region Governor Roman Busargin. According to him, it was the most massive UAV attack on the Saratov Region in more than three years of full-scale war.
“Saratov and Engels today suffered the most massive UAV attack of all time. All emergency services continue to work in an enhanced mode to eliminate the consequences. City administrations, together with relevant departments, are recording all damage to civilian objects in order to take the necessary measures,” he said.

According to some local channels, residents of houses near the military airfield in Engels are being evacuated. However, the airports of Samara and Saratov have suspended operations due to the drone attack.
The head of the National Security and Defense Council’s Center for Disaster Relief, Andriy Kovalenko, published a video from Engels amid reports of attacks. The General Staff has not yet commented on the information. At the same time, the Russian Defense Ministry has already announced the alleged downing of 132 drones.
