On Thursday, three tankers involved in the transportation of Russian oil were attacked by drones in the Black Sea near the northern coast of Turkey, shipping agency Tribeca reported, writes Türkiye Today .

In particular, the Palauan-flagged tanker James II, operating in ballast, was hit approximately 80 kilometers north of the Turkeli area and 77 kilometers from the strait. According to Tribeca, the engine room was damaged. Twenty crew members were on board at the time of the attack.
“Coastal security boats were dispatched to the scene. All crew members on board all three vessels are reported to have been rescued,” the agency reported.
Two other tankers, Altura and Velora, flying the Sierra Leonean flag and also in ballast, were attacked while transferring cargo between vessels.
