On the night of Tuesday, January 21, drones attacked the Russian city of Smolensk. The aircraft factory in the Zadniprovsky district of the city was under attack.
A fire broke out there after the UAV hit. Information about this was spread by local publics and also confirmed by the Ukrainian channel
monitor .
“One of the targets of the UAV attack by the Armed Forces of Ukraine could have been an aircraft factory in the Zadniprovskyi district of the city. The bulk of the explosions are happening there,” they wrote on the network.
Smolensk is experiencing power outages after the explosions. According to Russians, water supply was also temporarily cut off.
As a result of the work of Russian air defense, fragments of the UAV fell onto the roof of a high-rise building, which caught fire.

As OBOZ.UA reported, in the Smolensk region, on the night of January 4, 2025, there was a complaint about a drone attack. The explosions occurred in the city of Safonovo, where the Avangard enterprise is located, which is involved in the production of solid-fuel missiles and armored vehicles for the Russian occupation army.

“As a result of the work of Russian air defense, fragments of the UAV fell onto the roof of a high-rise building, which caught fire.”
The fragment in the second video looked distinctly drone shaped.
Maybe “fragments” and “debris” are ruskie words for “drones” and “missiles”? Like “grass fire” is a phrase for “got hit”.
Or a tree caught fire. 🔥
