Explosions were heard in the occupied territory of Donetsk region on the night of November 18. A fire broke out at a thermal power plant in the city of Zugres.
The Telegram channel Exilenova+ published videos that show a drone attack. In the videos, filmed by eyewitnesses, the drone’s buzzing can be heard, as well as the work of the air defense of the Russian invading army.
Apparently, the local thermal power plant was hit – the impact was captured on video.
The leader of the terrorist organization “DPR” Denis Pushilin confirmed the attack on the power system. According to him, the Zuyivska and Starobeshivska TPPs were damaged as a result of the shelling.
The militant also admitted that after the attack, many settlements in the occupied part of the Donetsk region were left without electricity. In particular, boiler houses and filtration stations stopped working.
Thanks to objective control footage, OSINT researchers determined that substation 330 kV “Zuyivska TPP” was attacked. The coordinates of the facility are 48°01’58″N 38°17’12″E.
“The transformer of the second boiler was hit, according to our information, it is out of order,” the Exilenova+ project reported.
Meanwhile, propaganda outlets announced that the power supply had disappeared in temporarily occupied Ilovaisk and some other settlements, and that the lights were flickering in Makiivka and some areas of Donetsk.
As OBOZ.UA reported, a “blackout” occurred in temporarily occupied Donetsk late on the evening of November 16. According to one version, drones successfully attacked a local electrical substation, which caused a large-scale power outage.
