Drones attacked the port of Kronstadt in the Baltic Sea, where several fires broke out after explosions.
On the night of June 6, several Russian regions and temporarily occupied territories of Ukraine were subjected to a massive drone attack, which resulted in fires at oil depots and damage to port infrastructure.
According to monitoring Telegram channels, a series of explosions were heard in Ust-Labinsk, Krasnodar Territory, in the early hours of the morning. Drones hit an oil depot there, causing a large-scale fire. A column of black smoke rose above the city.
The Telegram channel of the local authorities said that the fire started on the territory of OJSC “Poltava Oil Terminal”, which handles the transshipment of petroleum products with a reserve fleet of about 15 thousand cubic meters, which serves automobile and rail fuel supplies.
In addition, drones attacked the port of Kronstadt on the Baltic Sea, where several fires broke out after explosions. An air alert was declared in St. Petersburg and the Leningrad region due to the threat of UAVs.
Local authorities even asked the city’s residents to stay home due to a large-scale drone attack.
Explosions were also heard that night in the city of Uzlova, Tula Oblast, Russia. A fire was raging at the site of the impact.
Drones also attacked the seaport in temporarily occupied Mariupol. Explosions were heard in the port itself, followed by smoke.
An oil depot in the temporarily occupied city of Zugres, Donetsk region, also caught fire.
In total, the Russian Defense Ministry announced the largest drone attack in recent times. According to the official version, air defense forces allegedly intercepted and destroyed 376 aircraft-type drones overnight.
