The USA, the Netherlands, Germany, Italy and Romania have announced the provision of air defense systems to us.
In the coming months, the United States and its allies will transfer dozens of tactical air defense systems . This was announced by the Minister of Defense of Ukraine, Rustem Umyerov , when speaking about the start of work at the Washington NATO Summit.
He noted that the countries of the Alliance, in particular the USA, the Netherlands, Germany, Italy and Romania, announced the provision of air defense systems to Ukraine.
“The solution includes additional Patriot batteries, the SAMP-T system and components for their operation. These systems will help protect our cities, civilians and critical infrastructure,” Umerov said.
According to him, also in the coming months, the US and its allies will transfer dozens of tactical air defense systems, such as NASAMS, HAWK, IRIS T-SLM, IRIS T-SLS and Gepard. “This will significantly strengthen our defense. We express special thanks to Canada, Norway, Spain, Great Britain and other countries for providing these systems and interceptors,” the minister emphasized.
Umerov thanked all the countries that joined the Air Defense Immediate Action Initiative, which raised more than $1 billion to support Ukraine’s air defense.
