Donald J. Trump is the greatest danger to the world since Adolf Hitler.

I’m not exaggerating for dramatic effect.
I quite literally mean every word of it: Donald Trump is the greatest danger to the world since Adolf Hitler. And considering the size of his army and his economy, he might even be a greater one.
Trump runs the US exactly in the way virtually every scholar of fascism has predicted: as a corrupt tyrant whose malevolence has started to border the unimaginable.
He strips millions of the world’s poorest people of their HIV medication* and food assistance;* he arbitrarily arrests migrants and deports them, without due process, to torture camps at home* and abroad;* he unleashes a paramilitary goon squad to murder innocent civilians in broad daylight* and then lies openly about what happened;* he bans books,* destroys scientific knowledge,* and censors universities;* he blackmails* and intimidates (former) allies;* he threatens* and prosecutes* political opponents and labels them domestic terrorists;* he lies shamelessly and incessantly about everything;* he explicitly places himself above the law;* and he proves himself, nearly every waking hour of the day, to be the most repulsive, cruel, and immoral psychopath to have ever occupied the White House.
And let’s not forget: as of January 3, he has illegally and unilaterally invaded a sovereign nation in order to seize its leader, its capital, and its natural resources by force. Does that ring a fascist bell? The invasion of Venezuela, immediately followed by similar threats against Colombia, Mexico, and Greenland, makes Trump a clear and present danger to the world as a whole – comparable to Hitler after the annexation of the Sudetenland in 1938 and the invasion of Poland in 1939.
Anyone who thinks that comparison is exaggerated is either dangerously uninformed or dangerously naïve. Asked whether there was anything left to limit his global power, Trump replied: “Yes, there is one thing. My own morality. My own mind. That’s the only thing that can stop me.”*
Or listen to Stephen Miller, Trump’s chief ideologue, who has simply declared international law a thing of the past: “We live in a world, in the real world […] that is governed by strength, that is governed by force, that is governed by power. These are the iron laws of the world. […] We’re a superpower. And under President Trump, we are going to conduct ourselves as a superpower.”*
It is a worldview that bears an eerie resemblance to that of another well-known ideologue. “When two elements are struggling, the solution is force. There never was any other solution in history, and never will be.”* And: “The Fascist State expresses the will to exercise power and to command.”*
If the 2025 behavior of the Trump regime – and yes, it should be called a regime – hasn’t already set off every alarm bell, then the insane escalation of the past few days surely should. In less than a week, the United States has declared war on a neighboring country, threatened war against two others, and openly stated its intention to annex a NATO ally – by military force if necessary.
Anyone who continues to speak as if we are dealing with a “president,” a “government,” and “policy” in the normal sense of those words is obscuring what has by now become crystal clear to the entire world: this is nothing short of twenty-first-century tyranny, with a mafia boss at the helm and his fascist playbook in hand.
For that reason, it strikes me as increasingly absurd that some news media continue to report on all of this as though we’re witnessing “regular” geopolitical maneuvering. “The successful attack on Venezuela and the abduction of President Maduro appear to have given U.S. international ambitions a significant boost”: those were the exact words of the anchor of the Netherlands’ foremost public news broadcast,* when talking about the most flagrant violation of international law since Russia’s invasion of Ukraine and Israel’s genocide in Gaza – as if the sports segment had already begun.
“Trump has already said that, besides Maduro, he has a problem with other left-wing presidents as well,” the anchor continued, like a seasoned propagandist. Next came a segment in which two random Colombians “disagreed” about whether their president should be “the next” to be “dealt with by Trump”.
Please picture: A newsreel in the late thirties on the “successful” invasion of Poland, which had given Germany’s “international ambitions” a major boost, followed by a report from Denmark or Norway on whether they might be next?
A strange comparison? As Charlie Kirk would say: Prove me wrong.
Anyone who still rationalizes this is willfully blind
Anyone still rationalizing the behavior of Trump and his henchmen (“Why does Trump want Greenland and what could it mean for Nato?”, ran an actual headline from the BBC),* excusing it (“Maduro wasn’t exactly a saint either”), minimizing it (“It won’t be that bad”), smothering it in whataboutisms (“What about Obama?”), or getting lost in semantic nitpicking about whether comparisons to past dictators are appropriate, is willfully blind to this existential threat operating from the Oval Office.
To all Republicans who could have stopped this, and who – despite all warning signs, including an attempted coup in 2021 – chose not to stand in Trump’s way as he launched his full throttle assault on truth, democracy, and the rule of law, I want you to know: your names will go down in history as those of the collaborators of our time.
To all the tech CEOs, billionaires, and FIFA bosses who, like cowardly dogs, sold their consciences and moral compasses for a few extra billions in the fourth quarter, and who handed this fascist a global platform, a bulging campaign war chest, and a plastic peace prize, I want to say: we will remember you as the true traitors of the twenty-first century.
And for us – Europeans with eyes, ears, a voice, and a conscience – the task is clear: we have to face the facts. What was once our greatest and most important ally is now the most powerful and dangerous criminal organization in the world. Call out every lie the minute it’s uttered; condemn every human rights violation the moment it is committed; and support every resistance hero who dares to stand up to Trump and his cronies.
Strengthen our alliances. Work together with everyone of good will. Keep your hopes up about the future and your fellow human beings. And above all: increase European independence – political, economic, military, and technological – as if our lives depend on it.
Because they do.

The biggest danger is the politicians not stopping him. They could do it quite easily.
Red, go shove your DISCLAIMER up your filthy ass! Come to Greenland or Canada and i will castrate you fucking asshole!!!
They both are fascists and evil, but the difference between Hitler and Taco is that Taco’s IQ is barely above grade school level. Another is that Hitler was popular, but Taco is not.
Hitler was on the front during WWI, seeing things normal sensible talented people should not see. Trump is just an untalented fat fuck who never served in the military.
Indeed, he dodged the draft several times.
Usha is pregnant. Well done Donny! 🤣
