In Paris, the heads of the defense and foreign policy departments will discuss “concrete progress in the issue of assistance to Ukraine.”
European ministers of defense and foreign affairs will meet in Paris in the coming days to discuss further support for Ukraine and Moldova. This was announced by the spokesman of the French Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Christophe Lemoine, Ukrinform informs .
He added that European countries will discuss further concrete measures for Ukraine and how to protect countries that are destabilized by Russia, particularly Moldova.
“Ministers will hold a follow-up meeting over the next few days to strengthen support for Ukraine to achieve concrete progress on the various issues raised on February 26. The goal is to do more and differently for Ukraine,” the spokesman said.
Lemoine recalled that during the recent meeting in Paris, an agreement was reached on joint actions in several areas, among which – “the protection of countries directly threatened by the Russian offensive in Ukraine, in particular Moldova, and the ability to support Ukraine on its border with Belarus with non-military forces and demining operations”.
“Russia’s attempts to destabilize the European continent require us to strengthen our support for Ukraine, as well as all possible actions to prevent Russia from winning the war for which it bears full responsibility,” the representative of the French Foreign Ministry emphasized.

Sure looks good, Mr. Ofp, but I don’t really trust Macron. Let’s not forget, he’s the last guy who still frequently phoned Putin, in the vain hope of talking sense into him. But now he’s going fully hardline? What has happened? There must be some reasoning behind this that we don’t know yet. 🤔
Beats me, Mr. Gray. I guess that some people try one thing and when they finally realize that it won’t work, no matter what was tried, they will come to a whole different conclusion and hence, initiate a different strategy. Only he knows the answer, though, why he was such an appeaser at first and now so radically different.
