Now the focus is on the 4 countries that voted yesterday in the GAUN with Russia, but let’s look closer at those 143 countries that voted for Ukraine.

A major turnaround in our favor – several African countries that had previously abstained or not voted have now voted in favor.

President Zelensky spoke to their leaders in the previous weeks and months, I met with their ministers and they were also part of the first in the history of Ukrainian diplomacy the Foreign Minister’s tour to African countries.

This result proves: you need to speak to Africans, Asians, Hispanics, tell the truth, convince. The historic UN GA resolution has demonstrated that Ukraine has been supported not only by our Euro-Atlantic allies, but also by more countries of the Global South.

And each of them we are grateful today for the principled position on the protection of international law and the principle of territorial integrity.

It was a successful offensive operation on the diplomatic front to free the world from Russian destructive influence.

In fact, the whole world said to Putin yesterday:

• Russian “referendums” and attempts of annexation are worthless;
• Russia must immediately and definitely repeal all these illegal decisions;
• Russia must immediately, completely and unconditionally withdraw all its military forces from the territory of Ukraine within its internationally recognized borders.
