“Ukraine may make a deal. They may not make a deal. They may be Russian someday, or they may not be Russian someday….”
Donald Trump
“we must start by recognising that returning to Ukraine’s pre-2014 borders is an unrealistic objective.
“Chasing this illusionary goal will only prolong the war and cause more suffering.”
VV Putin?
No: P. Hegseth.
“God bless the people of Russia and Ukraine!”
D.Trump.
Karoline Leavitt, WH Press Secretary: “I believe this nation views Putin and Russia as a great competitor in the region, at times, an adversary.”
Did she actually say that? Unfortunately yes.
No wonder that the tiny gargoyle dictator now has an extra spring in his platform shoes.
Roman Sheremeta, the well-known conservative Ukrainian-American professor and influencer, said on his LI page :
“During a recent interview with Fox News, Trump said: “Ukraine may make a deal. They may not make a deal. They may be Russian someday, or they may not be Russian someday. But we’re going to have all this money in Ukraine and I say, I want it back.”
Not sure even what to say.
Additionally, he said that the US has already provided Ukraine with “over $300 billion in aid” * and Ukraine has agreed to give the US “$500 billion worth of rare earth minerals.”
……….
*in reality a lot less than that.
They may or may not…
Trump meant exactly what he said. There is no room for misinterpretation.
He said “I love the Russian people.”
No room for misinterpretation.
He described the unleashing of genocide in 2022 by putin as “savvy” and “genius.”
No room for misinterpretation.
He said on live TV : “Putin’s gonna take all Ukraine.”
No room for misinterpretation.
A person commenting on Wed Feb 12 on this news site (ie Ukraine Today) said without irony : “Trump cares about Ukraine.”
The Telegraph article that was posted here on Feb 12:
“Europe’s populists’ dirty secret is that they are so pro-Putin” :-
is about the resurgence of the far right in Europe. Something that has not happened since the 1930’s. It’s happening in America too and has been developing since 2014, when Trump’s apparent idol; putin, invaded Ukraine and he; Trump, almost simultaneously declared his interest in running for president. That was the beginning of the “alt-right”, which is of course code for “pro-putin.”
It has now morphed into what could be termed the magaputler movement. The views of its followers can be seen in the pages of Breitbart, Gateway Pundit and of course “Z”; aka X, which provides a platform for the criminal lies of Tucker Carlson and many, many others.
No room for misinterpretation.
Trump’s man in the UK; the putinist Nigel Farage, is currently leading the polls.
No room for misinterpretation.
The neo-nazi AfD is backed by Ivan Muskovy; aka Elon Musk.
No room for misinterpretation.
Even the terms of absurdly putinist “America First” document published by Kellogg last April are unacceptable to the kremlin murder gang. So it could conceivably end up being modified to favour them even more.
Any ceasefire/frozen lines/neutrality deal puts Ukraine in mortal danger, because they will not get their lands back until/unless a liberal revolution occurs in the cauldron of devilry. The chances of that currently are negligible.
We would have a situation like Cyprus, where for the past 50 years a huge chunk of its land is under occupation with no likelihood whatsoever of it being recovered.
Freezing the lines will force Ukraine to say goodbye; possibly for decades, to its own sovereign land. Not to forget $trillions worth of mineral treasures.
The kremlin murder gang and its horde of occupier degenerates need to be neutralised in order to achieve peace. But that seems to go against the thread of all current thinking amongst Ukraine’s “allies.”
Hearing first hand of Wed Feb 12’s horror attack on Kyiv from a contact who lives there was just shattering. She said that she and her family constantly wake up thinking the genocidal war being waged against them was all a terrible dream, before reality kicks in. It’s horrendous for them.
No entity of this level of malevolence has ever existed throughout all history.
What a lot of people perhaps don’t realise historically is that Lenin was a spectacularly evil monster who absolutely reveled in murder and torture. Stalin simply carried on where his hero left off. There were nasty creatures after Stalin of course, but really it’s putin who is the first true heir of Lenin since Stalin. He just bolted on neo-naziism to Lenin’s murderous revolutionary Marxism.
Given the opportunity, putin, a clinical psychopath, would surely murder as many as Lenin, Stalin, Mao and Pol Pot combined. He would turn Ukraine into a charnel house, glory in it and like-minded fiends in his hellhole would be gloating through every step of the way.
russians under putin seem to love war. They eat it, sleep it and drink it. The ruling regime is totally focussed on all out war, which gives them an advantage, because they have already wargamed every conceivable allied response, knowing that feebleness is guaranteed.
Trump not only declares his love for “the russian people”, but now seems to want to squeeze as much out of Ukraine before as he sees it, it gets taken over.
He’s quite clear that he doesn’t care either way.
Now we know why he hired Vance, who also famously declared that he doesn’t care what happens to Ukraine either way.
In this tragic and terrible context, we have a weak and divided Europe, with fascist scum like Orban, Fico, Weidel and Kickl on the ascendancy.
The abysmal surrender document; “America First” published in April 2024 by Kellogg and Fleitz was the blueprint for every utterance from Trump team members since then.
So, rather than amending it to help Ukraine, they seem to be busy setting it in stone.
There have since been OpEds by Elon Musk, a joint effort from those two masterminds of statesmanship; DT Jr and RFK Jr, statements from Bryan Lanza, Marco Rubio, Elbridge Colby and now Hegseth. All glibly surrendering Ukrainian land to savages.
If a “deal” is done this year, it will likely be bad, very bad, or possibly dreadful, for Ukraine.
Unless it is massively in his favour, putin may well decide to continue his genocide anyway, as he has even less to fear from this US administration than from the last one.

Let me make this clear, what Hegseth blathered is not set in stone, is not a law, is not a prediction, and certainly is not intelligent. The orange administration is not God, and it won’t last forever, and it can’t stop the inevitable. One day, we will emerge from the darkness when this administration is history, and we will be great again, and retake our rightful place among the good and righteous.
Ukraine will regain all its territories and will join NATO.
But in what timeframe?
It took 70 years of darkness for Poland, the Balts and the lands east of Berlin. In Cyprus it’s 50 years and counting.
Belarus has gone and Georgia has close to zero chance of leaving ruZZia’s orbit.
Trump will want VanZkov as his continuity candidate and then possibly his vile son.
It’s not going to be 70 years. It’s not even going to be 7.
Once the guns fall silent; IF they do, it will be impossible for Ukraine to restart recovery of land. Therefore they will have to wait for a complete economic collapse in the shithole.
If I know the Ukrainians, which I do, they have a plan B and plan C and whatever else it takes to retake their lands. The situation was completely different before this war started, but now, mafia land has emptied its depots. Now is the time to act or a short time after now, not in 10 years.
