Venezuelan dictator Nicolas Maduro has announced his intention to invade Puerto Rico with Brazilian troops and liberate it from the United States of America , El Universal reports .
“Just as in the north they have a program of colonization, we have a program of liberation, and this program was written for us by Simon Bolivar. The freedom of Puerto Rico is expected, and we will achieve it with the troops of Brazil and Abreu de Lima at the head,” Maduro said at the closing of the World Antifascist Festival.
It is noted that it is unknown why Maduro made the statement that Brazilian troops could be used, but it is likely that the Venezuelan ruler of Venezuela spoke this way “because there were people in the room with Brazilian flags.”
Meanwhile, Foreign Minister Andriy Sybiha stated that Ukraine does not recognize Maduro as president.
“Ukraine joins the EU position. The so-called “inauguration” of Nicolas Maduro was a fraud. The choice of the Venezuelan people was stolen. We will continue to support the people of Venezuela and insist on the observance of their civil rights and freedoms,” Sybiga noted .
