The first batch of 63 generators was sent at the end of December from the railway station in Hanover to Kyiv, and already this month Deutsche Bahn plans to transfer another 325 smaller, emergency generators.

The transfer is a free help of “Ukrzaliznytsia”.

As Deutsche Bahn CEO Richard Lutz explained, the generators will provide electricity and heating at railway stations and repair plants, as well as be used directly on trains.

325 emergency power generators, which Ukrzaliznytsia will receive in January, will be used to provide electricity to passengers and workplaces of Ukrainian railway workers.
