russian occupiers continue to suffer heavy losses in Ukraine despite the reduction of assault and offensive actions.
In their latest report on the situation on the fronts in Ukraine, experts from the American Institute for the Study of War (ISW) paid significant attention to the sharp decline in the pace of the russian occupiers’ advance.
According to ISW, the invaders’ casualties remain at the same high level as during their fastest advance. However, its analysts refer to the data on enemy losses announced by the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine. Instead, ISW estimates the scale of the enemy’s advance independently.

“ISW has observed geolocated evidence to assess that russian forces gained roughly 498 square kilometers in January in Ukraine and Kursk Oblast, or roughly 16.1 square kilometers per day. The available figures suggest russian forces suffered roughly 96 casualties per square kilometer of territory seized,” the statement reads.
Earlier Defense Express reported that Ukrainian forces had struck nine oil facilities in russia in the first month of 2025.

“According to ISW, the invaders’ casualties remain at the same high level as during their fastest advance.”
Could the reason for this be that the roach army is forced to use honka cars, motorcycles, and scooters instead of IFVs and tanks? Let them get slaughtered in industrial scale!
