The President announced a “step-by-step plan.”

The global peace summit has brought the deoccupation of the Zaporozhye Nuclear Power Plant (ZNPP) closer. This statement was made by Ukrainian President Vladimir Zelensky in a conversation with journalists at the end of the final press conference of the summit on June 16.

“There will be meetings… Yes, the (de-occupation of the Zaporizhzhya Nuclear Power Plant – UNIAN) has approached. Everyone recognizes that there must be a de-occupation of the Zaporizhzhya Nuclear Power Plant. Diplomatically. They will meet on a platform, as I told you, in one of the countries where nuclear safety will be discussed. And there will be write out a step-by-step plan. This is our goal,” the president said.

  1. It’s hard to see how that happens without ruSSia agreeing, but I’ll wait to see what the plan says.

    • Yesh, Larry, this would take major advances at the Zaporizhzhia front, and that doesn’t seem realistic right now (maybe at the end of the year, ok). However, who knows, maybe the AFU is planning a huge amphibious assault? Let’s wait and see. 🤔

      • It is also possible that the UN has decided not to be a paper tiger and recommend the Filth lose committees or…hopefully….veto rights, when they illegally act like terrorists by occupying a foreign nuclear power facility.

        • A more xetermined stance of the IAEA would be great, RSM, but even if that happened, I don’t see how the organization could enforce Russia to leave the NPP, sorry. The only way is for Ukraine to recapture it. 🤔
