Since August 2023, Denmark has been involved in training Ukrainian personnel to fly these fighters.

Ukraine has already received six F-16s from Denmark , but our country is expected to receive a total of 19 fighters.

As reported by a UNIAN correspondent, Danish Prime Minister Mette Frederiksen said this at a joint press conference with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky in Kyiv.

She noted that there are no changes in Denmark’s plans to transfer a certain number of F-16 fighters to Ukraine.

“Six were delivered. That was the first batch,” Frederiksen said.

She also stressed that, since August 2023, Denmark has been involved in training Ukrainian pilots to fly these fighters.

“It was difficult, but we were able to achieve success in the training. So, the process continues. And then there will be another batch and another batch. In total, there will be 19 (aircraft), as we said at the very beginning,” Frederiksen added.

Updated at 18:11. Frederiksen promises that Denmark will remain steadfast in its support for Ukraine and defends the position that it is our country that must win the war. She noted that she was pleased to announce new aid for Ukraine today:

“More than 130 million euros are going directly to the Ukrainian defense industry. Now we know what your defense industry is capable of. Because we know that these investments really make a difference on the battlefield. And rest assured that our support is long-term.”

Denmark has committed to providing 8.5 billion euros in security assistance, she said, with 1.75 billion euros to be provided next year alone.

          • How did you get such strange thoughts? Because i live in Germany? I have relatives here who helped me and Suzanna when i lost my job in Denmark. It should have come to your ears (eyes) that i’m a native of Louisiana. I like the South of Germany and the Rhineland alot, one of the wealthiest and beautiful parts of Europe, but this country – like most of the EU – is broken beyond recognition.

              • I don’t feel upset when people who don’t know me call me Portuguese, French or German. I don’t have a problem with that. But your comment was kinda weird and maybe i did not understand if it was a joke. Never mind bro. 👍
