Ukrainian paratroopers took control of the village of Berezove in the Dnipro region. The operation was carried out by units of the 95th separate airborne assault brigade of Polissya.
This was reported by the command of the Airborne Assault Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. The department emphasized that Ukrainian defenders continue to push out the Russian occupiers.
“Units of the 95th separate Polissya brigade of the Airborne Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine have taken full control of the settlement of Berezove, Dnipropetrovsk region. Step by step, the paratroopers are knocking out the Russian occupiers from Ukrainian soil. Wherever units of the Airborne Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine enter, the enemy suffers colossal losses or remains in Ukrainian soil forever,” the report says.
Berezove is now fully under the control of the Ukrainian Defense Forces. This is another successful stage in the liberation of settlements in the Dnipro region.
Berezove is located in the Velykymykhaylivka rural community of the Synelnyky district of the Dnipropetrovsk region. The village is located 166 km from the regional center of Dnipro.
In October 2025, it was reported that a number of villages in this region, including Berezovoye, Kalynivske, and Olhivske, were under the control of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. However, they were under increased assault by the Russian invaders. And this winter, Berezovoye was occupied by Russian troops.
On February 16, 2026, the Ukrainian Defense Forces struck a concentration of Russian troops in the Berezovoye area, causing large-scale losses to the enemy.

On February 22, the Airborne Assault Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine officially announced the operation in the Oleksandrivka direction. In particular, it was stated that the main tasks of the Airborne Assault Forces group on the relevant section of the front are “to disrupt the enemy’s plans for further advancement in the Dnipropetrovsk and Zaporizhzhia regions, to defeat the enemy’s group of troops and to push it beyond the administrative border of the Dnipropetrovsk region.”
On March 10, the head of the Main Operational Directorate of the General Staff, Major General Oleksandr Komarenko, reported that during the counteroffensive of the Defense Forces of Ukraine in the Dnipropetrovsk region, almost the entire territory that was under Russian control was liberated.
As OBOZ.UA reported, Ukrainian troops recently advanced towards Sloviansk, as well as in the Kostyantynivka-Druzhkivka tactical area. The Armed Forces of Ukraine also conducted counterattacks in the Zaporizhia region.
