In the Black Sea, Ukrainian forces struck a tanker belonging to the Russian “shadow fleet” and two bridges in occupied southern Ukraine. According to a Telegram post by the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine , on June 16 and the night of June 17, 2026, units of the Ukrainian Defense Forces struck a number of military and logistics facilities belonging to the Russian aggressor.

“A FINA A (IMO 9283306) tanker from the shadow fleet was struck in the Black Sea. The vessel is subject to sanctions by the EU, Switzerland, the UK, Canada, and Ukraine,” the statement noted.
Specifically, the target was confirmed to have been hit. However, the extent of the damage is still being determined.
The General Staff noted that the tanker was used to transport oil and petroleum products for the Russian Federation, circumventing international sanctions and restrictions. It is 244.6 meters long and has a gross tonnage of 62,002 units.
Defeat of bridges
The Ukrainian Defense Forces also struck targets used by Russian occupiers to provide military logistics and move forces and equipment between the temporarily occupied territories of southern Ukraine.
In particular, the road bridge over the North Crimean Canal near the village of Stavky and the road bridge near Voinka in the Kherson region were damaged.
