On the first day of autumn, it became known that the Ukrainian military had liberated another settlement. This is the village of Novoekonomichne in the Donetsk region.
The information about this was confirmed by the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. It is noted that the Ukrainian flag was raised over the village on August 31.
“Installation of the Ukrainian flag in the village of Novoekonomichne, Donetsk region. Glory to Ukraine!” – says the caption under the video.
It is added that assault groups from the “Skelya” regiment participated in the liberation. It took the soldiers two weeks to walk step by step through each street of the settlement.
We remind you that on Sunday, August 24, the Armed Forces of Ukraine took control of the village of Novomykhailivka (Donetsk region). Our military is gradually returning the occupied territories.
On August 24, it was also reported that Ukrainian soldiers had conducted a successful counteroffensive in the Donetsk region. They liberated three more villages that the enemy had previously captured. The villages of Mykhailivka, Zelenyy Hai, and Volodymyrivka returned to Ukrainian control.
As OBOZ.UA reported, on August 21, Syrskyi stated that the Defense Forces had cleared six settlements in the Donetsk region of the enemy and destroyed hundreds of Russian occupiers.
He said that he worked in units conducting stabilization operations on the so-called Dobropil salient.
