The Ukrainian Defense Forces have regained control over the territory near the village of Zapadne in the Kupyanskyi district of Kharkiv region. According to OSINT analysts, the Ukrainian military has liberated 6.14 sq. km of territory outside the settlements.
The DeepState project reported on August 25 the advance of the Defense Forces between Zapadne and Dvorichnya. The map update message states: ” The Defense Forces of Ukraine have regained control near Zapadne .”
The area of Russian occupation in this area has decreased by 6.27 sq. km.

Control restored
Ukrainian troops have advanced between the village of Zapadne and the village of Dvorichna in the Kupyansky district. At the same time, Dvorichna remains under occupation, and Zapadne, according to the DeepState map, is partially under occupation and partially in a gray zone.
Separately, the 2nd Corps of the National Guard of Ukraine “Charter” reported on the operation. According to it, during the operation in the Dvorichny district, foreign servicemen of the R.U.G. Corps cleared a section of the area southwest of Dvorichnya and took control of the northern part of Zapadne.
The fighters also liberated a forest area near Zapadne. A video of the operation was released by the 23rd Assault Regiment “R.U.G” of the 2nd Corps of the Charter National Guard.
Operation details
According to DeepState, the map shows the liberation of 6.14 sq. km of territory outside populated areas. At the same time, the area of Russian occupation has decreased by 6.27 sq. km, and the area of penetration, marked as a gray zone, has hardly changed.
Media, citing DeepState and the Charter Corps, also reported the liberation of over 7 sq. km near Dvorichnaya. The Charter noted that the Ukrainian military had cleared the forest area and taken control of the northern part of Zapadne.
At the same time, the situation in this area remains dynamic. According to DeepState, Dvorichna remains under occupation, and Zapadne is not fully under the control of the Defense Forces.

As a reminder, the Russian occupiers in the Kupyansk direction are advancing in small groups and continue to attempt to penetrate the city’s buildings. To repel the assaults, Ukrainian units plan to strengthen their positions with additional strike drones.
As OBOZ.UA reported, Russian troops are not abandoning their intentions to create a so-called buffer zone in northern Ukraine. Despite significant losses, the enemy is preparing for new offensive operations and looking for weaknesses in the Ukrainian defense.
