Defense forces have cleared out Pridorozhne in Zaporizhzhia, which the enemy had claimed to have “captured.” Video

Russian troops claimed to have captured the village of Prydorozhne in the Zaporizhia region, but this information is untrue. Ukrainian defense forces cleared the village and destroyed an enemy sabotage and reconnaissance group.

The military confirmed control of the village, according to the 33rd Separate Assault Regiment of the Ukrainian Armed Forces.

According to Ukrainian military data, the enemy traditionally “depicted” the capture of Prydorozhne on their own maps in advance, then attempted to confirm this claim with actions on the ground. To this end, the occupiers sent a sabotage and reconnaissance group to the village to plant a flag and create a picture for reporting purposes.

However, the attempt to gain a foothold ended in failure: the enemy sabotage and reconnaissance group was discovered and destroyed, and the presence of Ukrainian fighters on the spot definitively refuted Russian claims.

Pridorozhne was and remains under the control of the Ukrainian Defense Forces, and any Russian reports of its “capture” are part of the information war. The Ukrainian national flag flies over the village, as confirmed by released video footage from the scene.

Ukrainian military officials urged people to trust official information from Ukrainian Armed Forces units directly holding positions on the front lines and not to fall for enemy propaganda.

OBOZ.UA previously reported that Russian troops are attempting to gain a foothold in Huliaipole and conducting offensive operations near Pokrovsk. Control over these settlements has not yet been confirmed. Meanwhile, Ukrainian units have regained some positions in the Pokrovsk sector.
