On January 15, in Nikopol, Dnepropetrovsk region, the director of Nikopol Gymnasium No. 25, Tamara Sokolova, was killed as a result of Russian shelling .

The tragic news was reported by the head of the education and science department of the Nikopol city council, Valentina Safonova, on Facebook . It is noted that a Russian shell hit the house of the deceased.

Tamara Sokolova has dedicated more than 30 years of her life to teaching children.

“In 1993, she first crossed the threshold of Nikopol School No. 25, where she worked her entire life – as a physics teacher, deputy director for educational work, and the last 6 years as the school’s director. She was a person with a big soul, undoubted honor, conscience, hardworking and responsible, experienced and intelligent leader,” Safonova said.
