A powerful gas blast tore through a 10-story residential building in Saratov, Russia, killing three, including a child. Ten people were rescued from rubble as emergency crews rushed to the site. Officials suspect a household gas leak. The Saratov governor visited the site. Investigation into the explosion remains ongoing.

Despite the headline indicating that Ukraine might have been behind this, it was purely a russian affair.
This is from the Moscow Times.
“Investigators said they launched a criminal probe into possible safety violations.
Gas explosions in residential buildings are a recurring issue in Russia, often attributed to
aging infrastructure and poor maintenance.
While many older Soviet-era buildings are especially vulnerable, public records show the
apartment block that exploded on Friday was built in 2011 and is managed by the property
company Sovezdye+.”
