For the first time in 18 years, Orban’s party is no longer the most popular in Hungary.
The opposition party “Tisza,” led by Peter Magyar, holds a slight lead over Orban’s “Fidesz,” according to a poll by the Publicus Institute.
Among the general population, “Tisza” has 24% support, compared to 23% for “Fidesz.” Among those who have pledged to participate in the elections and have decided on their choice, the ratio is 39% to 37% in favor of Magyar’s party.

Antonio Guterres, UN Secretary General arrived to russia to meet the war criminal Putin.
He was welcomed with a traditional korovay – the bread typically offered to greet guests. One has to wonder if this korovay was made from wheat that russia looted from Ukraine.
The UN appears to have no issue meeting with a criminal wanted by the International Criminal Court. Given an opportunity, I am sure they would have welcomed Hitler in 1940s.
The visit of the UN Secretary-General to russia, shaking hands with Putin – who has an arrest warrant from the International Criminal Court, established by the UN (!) – marks the final collapse of all international agreements since 1945.
Putin got his way. The fascism he revived has made a fiction of everything that held the world together for 80 years. We must admit that the UN, the OSCE, and NATO are all impotent.
As Einstein said: “The world is a dangerous place to live, not because of the people who are evil, but because of the people who don’t do anything about it.”
The era when the UN could stop wars based on international law has passed. The world has returned to the rule of force.
The only hope for Ukraine’s survival is a strong Ukrainian army, a powerful military industry, and the renewal of its nuclear arsenal. Call me a radical, but at this stage, I fully support Ukraine’s nuclear rearmament. It is a matter of survival.

What the hell is the USA doing on a shitlist that contains Orbanistan, Slovakia and other assorted putler-grovellers?
The Dems will lose to Trump since they keep functiong as Putler wishes. Zero planes, no long-range permission, no no-flight zone, actually no plan at all concerning Ukraine and not closing the US-Mexico border.

But it’s all got to be done in double quick time.
Under Biden, the United States has surrendered what it stands for and handed global leadership to the chicoms. If Trump winds, things will get even worse; we will join the trash countries and be ourselves a trash country. I could never eat as much as I’d like to vomit.
Germany will get rid of the spineless and foolish Scholz next year, then I think things will look much brighter for Ukraine, and this in various ways.
The CDU will have to go into a coalition with Scholz’s and Schroder’s SPD because they refuse a coalition with the progressive AFD. Nothing will change.
