Trump promises to stop political support for a politician he says is in danger of losing the next election.

US President Donald Trump has clashed with Congresswoman Marjorie Taylor Greene, the most anti-Ukrainian member of the US House of Representatives. In a series of posts on the social network Truth Social, he sharply criticized her, calling her “crazy,” and warned that without his support, she would lose the next election in her district.

“Frivolous Congresswoman Marjorie Taylor Greene betrayed the entire Republican Party when she moved to the left,” Trump wrote.

The US president listed a long list of his “accomplishments” in 2025 – from “ending eight wars” to fighting inflation – but Greene, he said, only “complains” about his policies.

Trump also noted that Greene has low voter support in his district and has no chance of re-election without his, Trump’s, direct support.

“I am withdrawing my support and endorsement of Congresswoman Marjorie Taylor Greene of the great state of Georgia,” the US president added.

According to DW , the conflict between Trump and Greene arose due to constant criticism from the congresswoman, who is dissatisfied with what she sees as the US president’s excessive focus on foreign policy, particularly the war in Ukraine.

Marjorie Taylor Greene is a member of the US House of Representatives from Georgia. She is known for her far-right and ultra-conservative views. In the context of Russia’s aggression against Ukraine, she has consistently taken an anti-Ukrainian stance.

In particular, she has systematically voted against any aid packages, portraying Russian aggression as a “US proxy conflict with Russia” for which, in her opinion, American taxpayers should not pay.

In her speeches, Greene frequently downplayed the annexation of Crimea and criticized Ukraine’s intentions to reclaim its territories, calling such actions “dangerous American interference.” In particular, she sharply criticized Ukrainian strikes on Russian military facilities in the occupied territory.

Greene has frequently criticized President Zelenskyy, calling him a “dictator.” At the same time, she has promoted radical initiatives, such as a proposal that all legislators who vote in favor of aid to Ukraine “go to war themselves.”

Her rhetoric often draws approving reactions from Russian state media, which portray Greene as a politician who boldly stands up to the American mainstream.
