The anti-submarine corvette “Hetman Ivan Mazepa” (type “Ada”) was launched in Turkey.

This was reported  by the National Industrial Portal  with reference to the message of Olena Zelenska, who was present at the ceremony.

“The Turkish word “bayraktar” (“defender”) – the name of the drone – has become a symbol of true protection and victories in Ukraine during the months of full-scale aggression. But soon, in addition to byraktars, we will have new common names. Today, Turkey had the honor of launching a corvette that will serve Ukraine and at the same time have a Turkish heart,” she wrote.

It is planned that the corvette will become the flagship of the naval forces of Ukraine.

The hull of the ship was completed recently , according to the schedule. Now the ship is awaiting further completion, but already on the water.

Commander of the Navy of Ukraine Oleksiy Neizhpapa also took part in the launching ceremony.
