The President of Ukraine presented the award to the general director of Baikar.

President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky and General Director of the Turkish company Baikar Haluk Bayraktar discussed the details of building a factory in Ukraine and manufacturing new products using Ukrainian parts.

According to the press service of the head of state, during the meeting, the interlocutors focused on further cooperation between Ukraine and the company to strengthen the defense capability of the Ukrainian army.

The parties also discussed the details of the construction of the Baikar plant in Ukraine and the production of new products using Ukrainian parts.

It is noted that Zelensky highly appreciated the contribution of Bayraktar and his company to increasing the power of the Armed Forces of Ukraine in the fight against the aggressor and awarded him the Order of Merit, 1st degree.

“Everyone in Ukraine knows what Bayraktar is, knows your company. Thank you, thank you, President Erdogan for your support and the support of Turkish citizens in this war against Russian aggression,” the president said.

Earlier it was reported that a land plot was purchased for the construction of the Bayraktarov plant in Ukraine, and the design of the facility has already been developed.

Ukrainian Ambassador to Turkey Vasily Bodnar said that the Cabinet of Ministers had already approved a bilateral agreement on the construction of the Baikar plant in Ukraine and sent it to the Verkhovna Rada for ratification.
