According to Peskov, Putin has repeatedly spoken about Russia’s readiness and openness to negotiations.

The Kremlin considers Pope Francis’ call for negotiations regarding Ukraine to be quite understandable. This was stated by Kremlin press secretary Dmytro Peskov, Reuters informs .

According to him, Russian President Vladimir Putin has repeatedly spoken about Russia’s readiness and openness to negotiations, but Ukraine rejected such proposals.

“Unfortunately, recently, both the statements of the Pope and the repeated statements of other parties, including ours, have been completely rejected,” said Peskov.

He also noted that the situation on the battlefield showed that the West’s hopes of inflicting a “strategic defeat” on Russia were mistaken.

“This is the deepest delusion, the deepest mistake, and the course of events, first of all on the battlefield, is the clearest evidence,” the Kremlin spokesman added.

The Pope’s scandalous statement

The other day, Pope Francis said that it is time for Ukraine to “throw away the white flag” and start negotiations with the Russian Federation . According to the pontiff, “the one who looks at the situation, thinks about the people, has the courage to raise the “white flag” and conduct negotiations will be stronger.”

He added that negotiations should take place with the help of international mediators.

Subsequently, the Vatican explained the high-profile statement of the Pope regarding the war . The director of the press service of the Vatican, Matteo Bruni, noted that when talking about the war in Ukraine, Pope Francis used the phrase “white flag” without implying that the Ukrainian side should capitulate.

According to the spokesman, the image of the “white flag” was used by the interviewer during the conversation with the pontiff, and the Pope responded by using the suggested phrase to indicate a truce that can be achieved through negotiations.

  1. Negotiations would be a good start. Zelensky is like a baby, crying ‘I want Crimea, i want Crimea, i will defeat Putin!’, fully ignoring the military situation and dreaming. Also nice this bitch put Poroshenko under house-arrest and ‘expelled’ Zaluzhny to the UK for telling him the truth. When the shit hits the fan the piano player will board a chopper to Israel or Turkey anyway. I’m taking my hat off and salute the superhuman brave ukrainian defenders, but i fuck Zelensky and his humiliating catastrophic nonsense! 🇺🇦✌

    • “board a chopper to Israel or Turkey”

Did you forget about “I need ammunition not a ride” ?

    • Have your brain been reset lately?
      You cannot negotiate with Putin.
The manslaughter will just continue and there will be a war like the Donbas but then among thousands of kilometres and the West will close their eyes again.

Negotiating with Putin makes zero sense as history has proven repeatedly.

  2. If Pope Francis hasn’t yet noticed how badly he screwed up, this embarassing support by the forces of evil should alert him. To save what’s left of his reputation, he needs to reject this toxic compliment and state clearly that it’s the warmongerers in the Kremlin who are to be blamed for this humanitarian desaster. Some choice words about the fate in hell that awaits them would be helpful, too. 😠
