Complaining about heavy losses near Pokrovskoe: National Guard fighters publish stories of Russian prisoners

6.11.2025

Russian occupiers captured by fighters of the Spartan Brigade of the National Guard of Ukraine have spoken of critical losses among their units near Pokrovskoye. According to them, many soldiers are fleeing to avoid assaults, and commanders are threatening to “zero out” those who refuse to follow orders.

This was announced on the official Telegram channel of the NGU, publishing a video interview with the prisoners. In the recording, two occupiers admit that they became soldiers because of an offer to avoid imprisonment by signing a contract with the Russian Ministry of Defense.

One of them added that “there are almost no prisoners in the camps” because they are being sent en masse to the front.

On the verge of survival

Both detainees talk about huge losses among the assault groups due to precise strikes by Ukrainian drones and mortars. One of the prisoners said that he did not believe in his own salvation – he was pulled out from under the rubble after a failed assault, and only then did he realize that he would survive. Another admits that there is “no chance at all” against Ukrainian forces.

Ukrainian soldiers note that such testimonies are not isolated – more and more Russian prisoners of war are talking about fear, chaos, and lack of motivation in their own ranks.

Prisoners about the losses of the Russian Federation

According to the Russians, many units in the Pokrovsky district suffer significant losses every day. Those who try to abandon the assaults are punished or even eliminated by their own commanders. The prisoners admitted that most of their comrades no longer have any hope of returning alive – only a few survive after the first rotation.

Now both captured occupiers say they would rather serve their terms in prison. One of them bluntly stated that “there is a chance in prison, but not on the front against Ukrainians.”

As OBOZ.UA wrote, the destruction of Russian occupiers continues in Pokrovsk – on November 5, Head of State Volodymyr Zelensky praised the special forces of the Central Military District “A” of the SBU , who are systematically and very effectively eliminating the invaders and their equipment in and around the city itself.

  1. “According to them, many soldiers are fleeing to avoid assaults, and commanders are threatening to “zero out” those who refuse to follow orders.”

I wonder why in the hell those meat puppets don’t kill their slave-driving commanders. Then, they could just go home.

  2. Is it because the “commanders” are nothing more than a voice over the radio? If so, “how do we get to him?”.. Id imagine there must be a middle man – holding the radio at the deploy point -saying “you better, or he’ll zero you”. Not hard to imagine…

    • I’m sure there are enough soldiers who know how to find their commanders. They could “work their way up” and waste any that come along until they get to HQ. All it takes is one guy with enough hate and guts. I think it’s obvious that this is as risky as being sent into a useless, dangerous assault, but with the added benefit of having killed his tormentor(s).
