Long-range ATACMS are capable of hitting 300 km, the publication notes.

In a new nearly $1 billion military aid package to Ukraine, the United States could transfer long-range ATACMS missiles for the first time.

CNN writes about this . Sources say the package must be approved by US President Joe Biden after the Senate passes a new foreign aid bill that includes Ukraine.

The publication’s interlocutors noted that in recent weeks, Biden administration officials have reported to Congress that as part of the new package, the United States will likely send long-range ATACMS to Ukraine for the first time.

It is noted that last fall the United States transferred medium-range ATACMS to Ukraine for the first time. These missiles can reach targets at a distance of about 160 km. At the same time, the longer-range version is capable of hitting 300 km.

    • Yup, even though late, still great! I hope that’s a sign that Biden seriously tries to help Ukraine win now. And that Scholz will follow the lead. Enough already with the half-assed measures, hit the Putinazis hard! ✊🤨🇺🇦
