“Christians are not afraid of the so-called end of the world”: Kirill spoke about nuclear war

Vadim Khlyudzinsky21:29, 28.11.24

The Patriarch of the Russian Orthodox Church says that “the enemy of the human race is trying to sow anxiety in the hearts of people.”

Patriarch Kirill of the Russian Orthodox Church calls for not being afraid of nuclear weapons because Christians “are not afraid of the so-called end of the world.” He stated this at a plenary session of the World Russian People’s Council.

According to Kirill, the escalation of fear “around possible apocalyptic scenarios, excessive alarmism and speculation on the nuclear issue are not useful from a spiritual point of view.”

“The enemy of the human race is trying to sow anxiety in the hearts of people in order to paralyze their will and deprive them of courage, because a person deprived of spiritual peace is easier to manipulate. There is no need to play along with all this,” said the spiritual leader of the Russians.

He is convinced that Christians are not afraid of the “so-called end of the world” and are waiting for “the Lord Jesus, who will come in great glory, destroy evil and judge all nations.” At the same time, such an expectation “does not mean that we should sit idly by.”

“On the contrary, our earthly calling is to be warriors of the Lord, to resist evil and defend high moral ideals. This is the goal-setting of Russia,” Kirill added.

    • I wonder how any sane person can see him as a religious leader. He is so deeply evil and extreme mafia that Al Capone looks like a choir boy by comparison.
